In My Mailbox (#9)

I LOVE SUMMER!
Summer has arrived and I'm really excited. Although I couldn't get hold of the books I was craving for, I got a couple of good books.

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story SirenIn this feature you can post about books you've bought, gotten from the library, received for review... books don't have to arrive via your actual mailbox.

Received:
Fixing Cupid by Cristian Young Miller through LibraryThing's Member Giveaways. Thank you very much Cristian.
Fixing Cupid
From the Library:
The books I've borrowed for summer reading are: The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffery Archer (Politics, Historical fiction, the author I've been thinking of trying for a long time), and three books by R L Stine, Welcome to Dead House (Goosebumps Series #1), Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls (Goosebumps Series #11), and Three Evil Wishes (Ghost of Fear Street #19).
I don't remember reading horror fiction before. But may be now I want to give it a go.

Timon's Tide by Charles Butler

Daniel can't believe his brother actually died six years ago. The body was found on the shore, his face half-eaten. It was identified as Timon's immediately after it was found. There were several loopholes in the story the then 10-year-old Daniel was told by his mother and step-father. Of course, the dead body could simply be of anyone else'.

Book Blogger Hop (6/10-6/13) & Follow Friday #49

Book Blogger Hop
I really apologize for being absent since mid-May. Now I'm back and connection problem is sort of fixed up and here's my first bookish meme.
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer (Crazy For Books). However, Jen is busy this weekend so Lori is guest hosting this week's Hop.
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week. So sign up and join the hop.

This Week's Question:
Who is the one author that you are dying to meet?

My Answer:
None other than John Grisham. I still haven't read all of his books and I'm still hunting for them.

Happy Follow Friday!
Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee where book lovers make new friends and find new blogs. So sign up for Follow Friday on this Link and start following.

This Week's Question:

The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says "you and your favorite character (from a book of course) can switch places!" Who are you going to switch with?

My Answer:

Well, this question is so difficult. I have so many favorite characters and I hope the magic fairy pops out of my cereal box every day. There's Pip from Great Expectations, Kardith from Northlight, Johannes Verne from Lonesome Gods, Lizzy from Pride and Prejudice, and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. I'm expecting a good comment on the last one ;)

Heart to Heart (From the Files of Madison Finn #11) by Laura Dower

Valentine's Day is around the corner and everybody seems to be falling in love. While Madison's father and his girlfriend, Stephanie, are acting like love-birds, her e-pal BigWheels falls in love too. Even her pug, Phin, has found a new dog grilfriend. But things aren't going well for Madison. Madison doesn't have a date for the "The Heart to Heart" school dance. And there's this secret admirer called "Orange Crush" who has been e-mailing Madison for a while. Is it her crush Hart? or Chet? or Egg?
