Teaser Tuesday #12

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should by Reading. My teasers are from the sci-fi/fantasy What Ho, Automaton! by Chris Dolley and crime fiction The Last 10 Seconds by Simon Kernick.

"I recognised the look. The man could fall in love at the drop of hat."

~ p.118, "What Ho, Automaton!by Dhris Dolley

"An empty shell of building deep in the heart of the city. It's early, the first of spears of bright sunlight advancing through the holes in the wall where the windows are meant to be, and here I am watching my blood form a visibly growing pool on the dusty concrete floor in front of me."

~ p.11, "The Last 10 Secondsby Simon Kernick

Anyone can play along Teaser Tuesday! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. I know that look! The one that says a man is way too easy. Such a difference compared to the Last Ten Seconds.

    Great teasers.

  2. Ohhh, I love that second teaser. The book seems real intriguing. ;o I hope you're enjoying them! Thanks for stopping by. :)

  3. Both teasers are intriguing. I might be a little squicked out watching my own blood make a pool. Ugh. Shudders...

    Happy Reading! :)

  4. Nice Teasers!! I like the second one the best, sounds very interesting.
    Thanks for stopping by SunnyReads!

  5. Two very cool teasers... I liked both of them...:)

  6. @Alice: What Ho Automaton! is so hilarious. If you read it, you'll definitely love it.

It seems like it's taking me ages to finish these two books. But I'm loving them, especially What Ho Automaton!

    Thanks everyone for stopping by.
