Top Ten Tuesday (#2)

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This meme was created to share our Top Ten lists with other bookish folks! Everyone is welcome to join. I'm participating in this meme after a long time.

If you can't come up with ten, don't worry about it---post as many as you can!
This week's topic:

"Top Ten Book Covers I Wish I Could Redesign"

1 Passenger to Frankfurt by Agatha Christie (My Review)
The book cover never encouraged me to read the book. I only read it because it was a Christie book. I even didn't want to put this book cover on my review, so I instead chose the one of the audiobook.
2 The Pale Horse by Agatha Christie (My Review)
Since I don't read horror fiction, I hated the cook cover. In my review I put the movie cover.
3 The Goodbye Look by Ross MacDonald (My Review)
At the first glance I thought the young man on the cover might be a spy or something but he turned out to be the weakest character struggling with psychological problems. I found this cover a bit deceiving.

4 The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F Scott Fitzgerald
I really liked the story but every copy of the book I could find had clocks on it.

5 Kate Hannigan's Girl by Catherine Cookson
The title said "Kate Hannigan's Girl" but there was neither Kate nor her girl to be seen on the cover. The story inside wasn't very good either.
6 Murder in the Mews: Three Perplexing Hercule Poirot Cases by Agatha Christie
I read the book ages ago and it is still lying somewhere in my room. The book is collection of three Hercule Poirot cases, Murder in the Mews being the first one. I wanted to reread the book so I could review it on my blog but I don't want to look at the cover again.
7 The Square Root of Murder (PC Hawke Mysteries #5) by Paul Zindel
The two people on the cover are PC & Mac. To tell you the truth, I didn't like either of them. They look a little old then they actually are in the book. In fact, I took the picture of the girl, Mac, as the Math teacher in the book.
I could come up with only seven!

  3. Oof, those first two Christie novels are TERRIBLE covers! Ouch. It's such a shame, too, as Christie is quite good. *sigh*

    Great list

  5. I kind of like the first Christie cover. That last cover is horrible. I hate live models on book covers.

  6. Five of them are mystery novels. I can ignore the book cover for the love of mysteries.:D
